Tribunal Records vs Divebomb Records Update

We wanted to take a moment to share an update on Divebomb Records—what’s been happening behind the scenes and why you may not be seeing as many new releases lately.

Some of you may already know that before launching Divebomb Records, we ran another label called Tribunal Records, which we started in 1999. By the time Divebomb really hit its stride in 2008, Tribunal was being placed on hiatus. We never officially closed Tribunal Records—we simply shifted our focus to Divebomb, driven by our passion for reissuing rare and out-of-print albums and demos. As Divebomb grew, it became clear that managing two labels simultaneously just wasn’t feasible.

Fast forward to 2026: Tribunal Records—and many of its artists—are experiencing a strong resurgence in popularity among both longtime fans and new listeners. Once again, we’ve found ourselves facing the same challenge. Despite our best efforts to balance both labels, it’s simply not sustainable. As a result, we’ve made the decision to shift our primary focus back to Tribunal Records for the time being.

We will continue to fulfill orders from Divebomb’s back catalog as always. However, when it comes to new reissues, our current priority is meeting the growing demand for Tribunal releases. Some of these titles are already reaching second and even third pressings—which is incredible to see.

So, does this mean Divebomb Records is done? Absolutely not. This is a shift in focus, much like the one we made in 2008. We fully intend to return to Divebomb and continue delivering the high-quality reissues you’ve come to expect from us. There are already plenty of projects in various stages of development, along with exciting plans for the future.

We truly appreciate your patience and support as we work to meet the renewed demand for Tribunal Records and its artists. Stay tuned—there’s much more to come.
